I visited Toot last year and had a really enjoyable experience overall. The atmosphere instantly feels warm and inviting, and you can really sense the culture through both the space and the food, which I loved. The menu has a great selection, with plenty of options to choose from. The food itself was full of flavour and well presented, and everything we tried felt comforting and satisfying. The drinks also came out quickly, which made the wait for the food feel much shorter. If I had to mention one small thing, it would be that the timing and ordering process could be a bit smoother, but the staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming throughout. Overall, I’d definitely recommend Toot if you’re looking to try something a bit different in Plymouth, especially for a relaxed meal with friends. A really nice spot with great value for money. I reviewed it on my TikTok itsireoluwa

Delicious food, very filling, great service and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended - if I’m in Plymouth again I’ll come back and try something else from the menu. This was first time trying Persian / Iranian food and I like it a lot. Really nice, subtle flavours different to anything I had tasted elsewhere. Not spicy but very well seasoned with lots of taste, very tender slow cooked beef infused with the stewed herbs and other ingredients. The Persian flatbread is really good too.

I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times, and every single dish I’ve tried from the menu has been outstanding. This time I had the Ghormeh Sabzi and Gheimeh Bademjan, and both were absolutely delicious! The flavors were authentic, rich, and perfectly balanced. You can really tell the ingredients are fresh and carefully prepared. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving real Persian cuisine!

Overall, I enjoyed my time at Toot. The atmosphere was lovely and very inviting. We ordered the £35 deal which included a starter, selection of meats and rice and tea with baklava, plus ordered a side of calamari. Honestly, I was not blown away by the food. I was rather confused by the portion size of the calamari, priced at around £7 for 4 nugget sized pieces which was disappointing. The tea and baklava were a wonderful touch, I appreciated the attention to detail. I’d consider the gem of a setting as the redeeming quality, I would recommend for an authentic Persian experience!

This is a great restaurant that serves Persian cuisine, I was hesitant, however my hunger won out. It is a relatively small restaurant with tables lined up end to end in rows, however as it was not particularly busy, this layout did not bother me. I was served by a lovely young lady called Molly rose who provided exceptional customer service to all the customers including myself. I did not have to wait long to be served, at any point in my stay. As this was my first time in a Persian restaurant, Molly was able to recommend a lovely dish which was cooked to perfection. Molly rose always wore a smile on her face, which made communication very easy and enjoyable.

Basic description: Hospitable, authentic persian restaurant. Colourful interior with a beautiful balcony/terrace area on the floor above. A good very variety of food on the menu. Personal Experience: The staff are very attention and friendly. The food wasn't elaborate, which is good, and could be enjoyed with and without cutlery. We couldn't decide on our dishes so we chose the platter/meze style set menu. Started off with a jug of mocktail that nurtured our appetites. Each dish was great eaten on their own, and combined with others. And it came with a homely dessert of persian tea and baklava, the baklava was warm and fresh. Our meal was no more expensive than a pub meal (££) and reasonable for the high quality of cuisine. Overall Conclusion: Very homely, pleasant and relaxed experience, tasteful food and authentic reasonablly priced persian meal. Attentive and friendly staff. One of, if not, the best restaurant I've visited. Worth at least one visit if you're in Plymouth. Will come back.
