Shockingly small portion, bought a meat and chips which he said was £8.50 and then I was charged £9.50. Has also increased delivery to £5, been coming here for ages and the portions get smaller and smaller while the price only increases. Hugely disappointing, the doner was paper thin and the chips were incredibly oiled and crunchy, the box was more full of chips than kebab. Will not be coming back.

Been using this place for a very long time from early as when they’re opened, The doner Kebab is probably one of the best tasting, however their portions seem to Be getting smaller and smaller, not Impressed

Best and oldest Turkish kebab shop in east london. Very nice team serve excellent food and custermser service. Did to diet change i am not regular in the place any more but I used to always eat there and love the food and still prefer them then any others. You can se everything how they make food and serve.

I am sharing a clear picture of how disappointing it can be when a place you once loved has changed for the worse. City Kebab used to be one of the finest restaurants in Tower Hamlets . I remember going there as a kid and always having a great experience. Unfortunately, my recent visit after many years was extremely disappointing. My friend and I ordered a large Doner, but what we received was shockingly small. It honestly looked like a small portion, yet we were charged £10 per Doner. This felt like daylight robbery. I considered cancelling the order, but by the time I realised how little food was served, it was too late and I didn’t want to create a scene or make things awkward with the staff. The Doner meat itself wasn’t great. It wasn’t lean, the cuts were very thin, and the taste was just okay, slightly salty and nothing special. What upset me most was the size, if this was the large, I can’t imagine how small Doner portion the small would be. On top of that, the staff didn’t ask about our preferences for toppings. The person behind the counter just started piling on salad without asking us, and we had to politely ask for less. He seemed rushed and didn’t really engage with us at all. All in all, this visit really ruined the good memories I had of this place. It’s definitely not what it used to be, and I won’t be returning.
