Nurtch Coffee House

To be honest at 2.30pm on a Thursday we were the only customers so it was nice and calm and we got our food super fast even though it was freshly made to order. We got paninis which came with salad, crisps and coleslaw - it was all delicious. Coffee was also excellent and in nice mugs. The cafe was clean and felt like a nice, calm bright and airy space. I liked the art on the walls, we also had a nice chat with the chap who made our lunch who told us about the mining roots of the local town. Friendly service and very reasonably priced real fresh food and coffee - a small diversion from the A1 but totally worth it. Will definitely be making this a regular stop on the road to Edinburgh.

Lovely local cafe in a super central location. The owner is very friendly and the amosphere is very relaxing. Nice solid British food, we had some scrambled eggs and toasted tea cakes. Lovely carrot cake served with ice cream!

A beautiful little cafe. Michael, the chef, is such a lovely man. We had pancakes with fruit and yoghurt and our daughter had a chicken and red pesto panini. Absolutely delicious and a very good price.

We took a detour from the motorway services and were not disappointed. Lovely, friendly welcome for us and our VERY large dog. Breakfast was cooked to perfection. Thoroughly recommend 👌

Lovely little spot in Ashington for breakfast and a coffee. Really nice atmosphere, great food and a perfect place to start the day. Love it here and will definitely be back!

Very nice, just popped in while I was in the area. Staff were polite and punctual. Very clean and bright cafe and the toilet was immaculate. Would visit again for a nice pot of tea and a slice of delicious cake 🎂 🥮

Lovely cafe. Very restful atmosphere and decor. Staff are just delightful. Very professional and nothing is too much trouble. Then there are the cheese scones😋. Best I have had in the North East. Light, fluffy And very tasty. Coffee delicious. We stayed so long we also had late lunch. Quiche was to die for.
