Mighty Cod

Fabulous fish and chips and great service. Staying nearby and called here by chance, but glad we did. The staff were so friendly, the fish was cooked to order and we were given all sorts of free extras. Obviously a key part of the local community, the other customers were also really friendly. We were really sad to see that these hard working people had to photograph all the orders going out by bike as customers kept claiming stuff was missing from their orders when it clearly wasn’t. Come on people - these guys are trying to make a living!

HUGE portions - especially the chips! There were 10 of us and we couldn’t get through 1.5 large chips. Fish was great, but mushy peas were the highlight!!! Highly recommend. PS - we forgot our pasty and they offered to drop it off to us!!! Talk about incredible service! Excuse the pic - we were too hungry to capture a proper one. (Only suggestion is to find a vegan burger or patty option.)

Food was absolutely appalling considering it's a simple kebab and chips, chips were cold reheats, kebab was rubbery and salad was shrivelled up so definitely not fresh, that's without saying about the hygiene in the actual shop, trash kept behind fryers which absolutely disgusting I have made a complaint to food hygiene agency. Try it at your own risk to health

Ordered from here yesterday 27th june with deliveroo ,same as i jave done since they first opend ,order was a chicken kebab ,a really rude rider turned up with cod and chips so i refused the order he staefed shouting at me in his own language .. i then phoned mighy cod ,whoever i spoke to was even worse even though i i explained that it was wrong he was adamant it was right when he found my order he replied with you just have the cod and said thats what i orderd even though i had the order in front of me he also started shouting and put the phone down on me so i called back for them not to answer and dekiveroo point blank refuse a refund because i dont have a photo of something the rider threw back in his bag and rode off with !! Im sure if the owner of mighty cod was there it would have bewn different .so from now on i will go elsewhere and leave the shop sxxt revoews on every platform for being so damn rude and trying to make me out a liar

Without a doubt THE BEST Fish n Chips I have ever had. 1) Biggest portion I ever got. I thought the large box will be a typical portion, but it was massive and I could not eat it in one sitting. 2) The fish was perfectly flaky and the batter nice and crispy. Fries were also prefect. 3) Just out of curiosity I ordered a small pizza and it was actually better than many pizza places. 4) Very reasonable prices considering the portion size and quality of ingredients. 10/10 would order again!
