A friend and I popped in here late on Saturday afternoon and stayed until mid-evening. We had not reserved a table, but were shown to one outside on the terrace. The location was perfect, with the sun shining and live music from an event being held in the lower part of the garden area. It was busy outside, but not crowded, and had a great atmosphere. We had planned on only having a quick drink, but ended up staying for two bottles of wine, and shared a delicious diavola home-made pizza. All of the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and professional. A special mention also to Leah, who served us for the majority of the night. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and she was incredibly attentive. I live in Chelmsford, but the next time I am in Danbury I will definitely return. Just one minor point for the management, I had actually emailed you on Saturday morning to enquire about whether I needed to reserve or not, but I never heard back from you. As I say, just a minor point, but if you have an email address, it would help if you could reply, as we almost didn't come because we assumed it would be full up. Really enjoyable afternoon and evening.

The atmosphere and setting are lovely. The food was tasty and the portion of the roast was generous but I should have listened to a previous poster about the size of the pasta dishes. I had the Gamberetti Cacio & Pepe. It was delicious but in comparison to the roast it appeared to be more like a starter size. There were plenty of prawns but not enough pasta. Needed a slice of bread to mop up the sauce as I didn’t have enough pasta for the sauce. For the price I would have expected a larger portion.

Had lunch here yesterday with my wife and honestly couldn’t fault it! Staff were very welcoming and informative about dishes on the menu. I had minestrone soup for starter which was packed full of veg and very fresh tasting. Opted for the Milanese burger which was lovely and the best tasting freshly made bun Ive ever had! Wife had the Gnocco Frito which was very light and packed full of flavour and for her mains the Lamb rump which was cooked to perfection and was very tender and flavoursome. Also one of the best Hugo Spritz I’ve had! Will definitely be returning in the future and looking forward to the summer to grab a table outside. Thank you all for a fab lunch experience

My friend and I visited Luigi’s for the first time this evening and it was that good I thought I have to leave a review! All the staff were so lovely, the food was exceptional and the atmosphere felt like we were really in Italy. 2 for £15 cocktails between 5-7- brilliant! And the hazelnut martini was the best cocktail I’ve ever had! Outside spot in the sun with Italian background music was perfection.

We returned to Luigi’s Alfresco for my daughter’s birthday and were once again wowed by the food. If you go, I highly recommend trying their pizzas—they are truly authentic and a standout of the menu. While the service was a bit slow, Laura did a fantastic job keeping us updated, ensuring we had a lovely, stress-free celebration. The Verdict: Incredible food and a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you, Luigi’s—we’ll be back!

This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, traditional italian, check table clothes, lovely fire place, rustic feel. We were a family of varied ages, there were other familes, also couples, and small groups of 4, everyone looked to be enjoying themselves. It was busy but the staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The food is fantastic, portions are really big, i came home with the remainder of my food in a takeaway box. One thing i was surprised at is they don't add swrvice charge, we as a family added on an additional 10% because the staff deserved it. Thank you so much Luigis for a lovely evening, we all had a great evening. You wont be disappointed if you have a meal here and will certainly return, I know we will be.
