Best Indian meal i have ever had the pleasure of eating. The Food was outstanding, service impeccable and the whole experience overall a joy to experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant if u like good Indian food on another level. The owner was so welcoming too.

Went here Friday evening 31 st January 2026 for dinner me and the wife from the starters to the deserts was absolutely perfect and the taste was unbelievable I’ve been using resteraunts of all kinds for 40 years including the top resteraunts in the city of London and can’t believe I’ve found one of the best authentic Indian resteraunts on my doorstep.Pakwaan bridge street writtle Chelmsford,every dish and presentation was stunning and tasted even better it was quality food at its finest how it should be done and the owner front of house was a gentleman,the loveliest staff and atmosphere you won’t find better anywhere 10/10 my only issue was I’ve never been before But will see you again very soon.Thankyou

Went here last night. Not our first visit. The food, atmosphere, service, decor etc is amazing as always. Best Indian food in and around Chelmsford.

The only proper punjabi Indian restaurant in the area that we have found. Food was great and not overtly spicy in the name of Indian restaurants rather focus was on quality ingredients. Dal makhani, paneer were perfect. Atmosphere was also amazing on a saturday evening with live music and warm staff. Plenty of parking and seating. There is a large table room as well for celebrating with group.

Pakwaan is the spot if you want real, flavorful, truly authentic Indian food. The food is honestly so good that if anyone says it’s "not authentic," they’re definitely lying. The flavors here take you straight back home. The Dal Makhni is an absolute must-try — rich, creamy, perfectly spiced, and hands-down the best you’ll find. No other restaurant claiming to have the "best" even comes close. Every dish is cooked with care, and you can taste it. If you’re craving real Indian flavors, this is where you need to go. Highly recommend!
