Pinocchio Restaurant Christchurch

As most of the reviews say don't be fooled by the decor. The food and pasta we ordered was absolutely poor quality. The pizza felt like frozen pizza put in the oven, pasta was bland. Felt quite sick after eating there for dinner. Service was quite slow and the coke ordered was not great. It was our first time in the area as a group of 8. Each one of us did not enjoy the food. Expensive food and really low quality.

They did well to accommodate us on a Friday evening and we were impressed enough to return on Saturday. The food is hot, fresh and served quickly but it is a somewhat anglicised version of Italian. Portions are generous. Service was engaged.

Great restaurant and good to see not much has changed in the years since my last visit

I used to come here as a child so we came here for some nostalgia and for my son's birthday. It was just how I remember the place, which is great by me. I like the old fashioned feel. Had garlic bread and olives as a starter, so buttery! Delicious! Don't think the vampires shall be bothering us for a while. Parents had pizzas that were nice, bases tasted authentic to me. Not at all like frozen pizza as some reviews seem to suggest! I had Tortellini alla panna, so creamy. We were well waited on. The staff being polite and attentive. The restaurant had a good atmosphere for a Wednesday night. Everyone sang happy birthday to our Son. Not just a meal out, but a nice memory created.

A cute authentic Pinocchio themed Italian restaurant that does what it does amazingly well. I had the chicken cacciatore and the tomato sauce was amazing (it was all great, but the sauce stood out). My son had the Pinocchio Pizza the also looked and smelled superb (he scarfed it down so it must have been good). Very reasonable prices!
