Ocean Fish Bar

Ocean Fish Bar is one of those places that’s become a bit of a tradition for us whenever we’re in Cleethorpes—and we do visit fairly often. It’s not somewhere we have to think about anymore; it’s just part of the trip. What keeps us coming back is the consistency. The fish is always fresh with a light, crispy batter that doesn’t feel overly greasy, and the chips are exactly what you’d hope for from a proper seaside chippy—hot, fluffy, and satisfying. Portion sizes are generous too, so you definitely feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. The restaurant itself has a warm, friendly feel, and the staff are always on hand, making sure everything runs smoothly and you’re well looked after. It’s not trying to be anything other than a really solid fish and chip shop—and it does that very well. For us, it’s become a reliable go-to, and we’ll keep coming back every time we’re in Cleethorpes.

I’m shore you’ll love this, The Ocean, on Saint Peters Avenue, looks small from the surface but is actually quite deep. We had the special which was advertised on a board outside, fish and chips with peas, mushy or Garden, with bread and butter and a pot of tea with extra Hot water to top it up for a second or third cup, fin-tastic for a lunch time treat. We had a Pier-fect day out, a walk on the beach and tasty fish and chips! Dolphinatelly a good sit down fish and chip shop, probably good for a chippy tea as well.

Angie took our order and accepted contactless payment at the table and checked on us later very but not too attentive! Waiting time for food acceptable. Pre ordered skate which was cooked on arrival . Plaice was excellent Can recommend a visit, just don't expect a restaurant atmosphere

The salad here really does live up to the hype - just wow! A huge portion which I appreciate as a girl who likes to eat 😂 also had the best calamari I have ever tasted! Lovely, friendly staff too. We will definitely be back here anytime we visit Cleethorpes!
