One of the most impressive artisan bakeries I’ve been to, certainly in the North East! And an ethos to admire behind it, too!
As a photographer I was privileged to get some (behind-the-scenes) photos of the bakers making the bread, pastries and delicious cakes. They are community based bakers so the profits go back into the business to benefit the community. The staff in the bakery and shop are fantastic and dedicated to giving the best product and service to their customers.
Incredible little artisanal bakery in Clark's Yard. Service was very friendly, bread and cruffin were both delicious. Quality exceptional, very much worth it.
Love the bakery. Good ethos with organic sourdough (miam miam) being sold. No bling bling ‘here’s my fancy shop’, ‘but you won’t be as impressed when you bite into it later at home’ The opposite of that. Quaint and unnoticed, with a wow feeling from the smell and quality of the produce on offer. That’s my kinda place.
Always stop by when visiting Darlington. Pastries to die for!
