Dixyland Chicken & Ribs

This is my go to chicken shop in Darwen. I don’t go often but when I do it’s always fresh and tasty. The lady who served me who I believe has been there for many many years keeps that place spotless, service with a smile. I got the family meal deal, great price, I asked if I could have no chicken legs as I don’t like them, she was happy to leave them out and give me breast and thighs. The gravy is the best!!! Chips are standard takeaway fries but for the money can’t complain. KFC is supposed to be the best chicken shop, not in my opinion. Dixyland kicks KFC’s bum. My only gripe, the place needs a facelift, but obviously that can be costly. Keep up the good work.

We tried "double decker" "chicken burger" and some of the pizzas. Found everithing good, tasty. The place was enough for 10 people, and we found the staff members super kind and helpful 😊

Excellent service ordered of just eat app three peice chicken n chips. Very efficient and fast service. Odd occasion call in and mark and cat really great to chat to . Foods always spot on and service with a 😊. Always great service.

Have they changed owners? We havent been for a while but use to go quite alot. I used to argue with everyone that it was the best fried chicken place in BwD. Miles better than KFC. Just had it now, chip portions have decreased by about 50% and the chicken had less meat on it than an Ethiopian. What little meat was on the bone was as dry as the sahara. Disappointed. Especially with price.

Ordered the deluxe burger and the ribs. Burgers was kids size, chips been refried probably 7 times and the ribs were so dry and tough I was about lose teeth. Had to throw away half the food as it was inedible. Stay away
