Urban Oven (Durham)

Ended up here to mix it up and get some food before a session. I wasn't happy with the food I got. I got a chicken kebabe. There was a load of chicken. The naan felt dry and didn't go well with the chicken. It felt a bit dry and hard to eat. The supplies sauce was hella hot and I didn't feel like covering everything in garlic sauce. I won't go back. Just didn't do it for me.

A lot of people are saying the delivery is bad and I collected mine, so my review probably isn’t relevant if you’re ordering in - but, for collection, I thought it was good food for a reasonable price 🙂

Ordered kabab meat n chips which I've not had for several years. The chips were hot and crunchy, the kabab was nice, not fatty, but not over cooked too. I enjoyed it and the plus no bad tum the next day which normally happens with kabab 🙄

Do not order. After waiting till last arrival time, we got told the food was first 7 minutes away, and then 20 minutes later it was supposed to arrive "any minute now". 1 hour later, they remade the order and told us 20 minutes. It arrived 35 minutes later, a total of 3 hours for a soggy cold pizza, inedible fries, two barely warm burgers with cold patties. Overall avoid. The experience of calling them was horrible, and the driver had the audacity to complain of our pickup when he didn't even arrive at the destination, and we had to walk a couple mins to him. Horrible experience, would give 0 stars if possible

Food was really nice couldn’t fault it, however the delivery experience wasn’t great. Driver never even attempted to bring it to my door. Instead rang me to come outside in my dressing gown to get the food off him on the main road so he didn’t have to get out the car.

The worst takeaway I've ever had, marked as delivered on just eat at 1945 to cover their quota, didn't come for another hour and my god it definitely had been in the car that long 😂. The driest, unflavoured pizza I've ever tasted and that's just mine, kebab stone cold, chicken nugget meal for a child stone cold soggy chips, avoid this place at all costs, fixing just eat times to make them look better 🤢

Ordered through uber eats. The delivery took almost 3 hours, when it said that it would only take 45-60 minutes. Had to call multiple times and they weren’t exactly helpful. When it finally came the driver was unprofessional and the food was cold and tasteless. 0/5 do not recommend
