Double Locks

Pea risotto & goats cheese. Wow! I found the service provided was excellent and professional around dealing with an issue. A venue that goes beyond expectation is why I am writing this. Many places dont bother. Everything was swift. I have been here for years and seen it change hands many times. I am so pleased to say the food I received today was so tasty. A vast improvement to when I last visited a few months ago. Apparently new chefs. So defo visit! Our waitress Jess was very accommodating and made everything smooth and easy . Thankyou ☺️

Superb location, a lovely walk from the Exeter quay side, boat rides also available. Good food, great service. Dog friendly ( not that I have a dog) definitely worth a visit on a summer's day!!

The food was delicious. We had cyder battered haddock which had the crispiest batter we have ever had. The chips were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The portions were large, so we didn't have room for dessert. The staff were friendly and attentive. Lovely setting right by the canal. Definitely recommend.

Had a nice oat milk Latte at Double Locks. Great views. Nice and friendly service. Quite a bit of litter around the pub and in the garden though. Big car park. Think they're having a big burn for November 5th judging by the pallet mountain in the garden!

Nice pub with plenty of tables outside as the pub isn't overly big inside, but there's plenty of covering if it's a sunny hot day and you've got young kids etc. not the cheapest place to go, but I suppose you pay for the location, which is amazing!

I love Double Locks, it is a gorgeous spot. I guess I'm comparing how it is now, to how it was 30 odd years ago, and it just doesn't compare. Some people will like the food, but its not for me. If you want a nice spot next to the canal, great though that it is, it needs more work on the detail. The people are lovely, and I am sure always give 100%, can't complain.

This is one of the most unique pubs in the country! Fully isolated, surrounded only by nature, and right at the river front! Service is relatively fast and prices are fantastic given the location. The atmosphere is just absolutely brilliant!
