Piccante Pizzeria

Great tasting pizza! Always quick and great value for money!

1st time I've been. Was off the cuff, headed for the nearest pizza shop I could find open that took card payment. Was a bit sceptical after reading the negative reviews. However i was quite pleased, not fantastic but did the job. Pleasant staff, nice and clean place.

Last night I would have rated this probably a 3 * but after tonight no way. It's always been really good or really bad literally opposite ends of the scale. Last night my partner ordered, he had chips with bolagnaise and cheese, it was delicious a rectangle box packed with crispy chips loads of meat and thick tasty sauce totally covered in melted cheese, but tonight it was more like where's the meat and sauce, the portions were in square burger boxes, the chips were still hard in the middle, only half our order arrived. After a call they said they were packing the rest of the order, ready to be delivered. I asked why the portion was smaller than the day before, she said they had ran out of square boxes yesterday. And the portion would have been the same. No, it really wasn't. She offered to send a new lot of food, I accepted but the second set was just as bad. More grease than sauce. The portion side between the boxes weren't equal, one had hardly anything in, The pizza was swimming in grease, the burgers were OK but we will be finding ourselves a new takeaway. We were however sent a free bottle of Pepsi. It's not piccante it's piccanto !

Ordered a pizza and paid extra for pineapple and they just didnt bother giving me what I paid extra for. Very poor suggesting there is no quality control at this place. Very unenjoyable. Won't be ordering from this place again.

Chicken burger and cheesy chips. Best in Gainsborough. Staff are fab, very hygienic and food is always fantastic.
