Thanks for the great meal. We enjoyed it thoroughly especially coming from the midlands to see the mighty pools play. Thankyou Charlotte and Co for the incredible service and hospitality. Loved the view over the Quay out back too. Highly recommend
Pub situated on the wharf. Only one handpull ale on offer and asking for a sample was told' its probably not good as we haven't sold any today' . Not a good start but he was correct, it was awful. No other ale was avaiable so plumped for Guinness. Although the establishment wasn't busy, there were a number of tables that hadnt been cleared of crockery from previous occupants and we found the tables to be very sticky. The food however was very tasty and good value for money.
4 food orders and only got one right. Child's plate was hot enough to burn him, pasta was nice but not what was on the menu, should have had carrot and cucumber sticks, with garlic bread, got beans and chips instead. My salad was wrong, given chicken when ordered prawns. Burger served in an over toasted bun, still with lettuce that was asked to be left off. Steak baguette was good. Its almost like they take no notice of orders and you're expected to accept what they decide to give you.
Came with the family last night for diner. Pub was not very busy interesting? We decided to eat outside as we had the dogs with us. Pub and team very helpful when comes to doggies. Water and treats available. Also a doggie menu if you wish. Very helpful team members so thank you. Only downside was the steaks over cooked for us. Medium rare was more well done. And blue was more medium rare. Overall a great experience and a beautiful view of the marina.
Was rudely greeted. Even though I had a table booked, I was asked to go sit anywhere. So booking a yabke was and felt pointless, the pub was freezing cold. Food was OK, I had a mega mixed grill, though the sausages and chicken where bland in taste, the steaks where cooked. My mum and partner had fish and chips, they said it was good. The desert was served cold, apple crumble and custard cma e served cold, both my partners and mums. Services was not good, as previously mentioned, was greeted poorly, even though I'd booked ahead, waiting times was about 30mins to 1hours for desert and a drink. Shame this used to be a brilliant pub many years ago, shame it's gone down hill.
