The Chip Shop

I am a regular customer here, and tonight we had a family takeaway night and placed a massive pre order over the phone for collection at half 6. As I arrived at the chip shop, it was packed, but my order was ready right on time. It was piping hot, everything was just as I asked for (sauce in pots for some and on top for others) and the food was piping hot. Huge portions, really tasty and 10 very happy customers. Thank you. X

Superb we live locally and This is by far the best chippy in the area by a mile! Been using over past 4-5 years! The large haddock is huge and can feed 2. Great staff and food!

i’m not one to complain as i understand working in a heated stressful environment. as im a chef too. the women who serve me was rude, and miserable clearly didn’t want to be there, on the sign it says cone or regular, or large, my mum said could i have the medium/regular and she replied in a rude tone, "we don’t do a medium it’s small or large, well you clearly do🤣. anyways i was saying my order and she was giving my mum dirty looks and was giving attitude to the next customer over. ended up serving/paying for the wrong food as she was so mardy i couldn’t even bother to argue with her. like i said i understand working in a kitchen as i doo to, but even when i have customers screaming in my face i respond in a professional manner, dont get me wrong the man who worked there was super lovely and sweet, food was okay too. won’t be returning due to the way this young women spoke to my mum.

The most disgusting thing I’ve ever had. Got Mediterranean chicken and chips. And I’ve seen better looking house bricks which probably would have tasted better too. Wouldn’t be surprised if this is human remains. 🤢🤢🤮🤮

Staff nice, place is clean. Steady flow of customers. Ordered the large cod n chips - like i have done for the last 3 years from The Chip Shop. What the heck has happened at this place? This is the third time that the Chips were limp no taste, fish no wider than my fork in a sloppy batter. What was really nice falls to a poor experience. So sad, you used to be the best.

Chips was awful dry like they had been reheated b sausage must have been on heat all day. They even got order wrong even though she asked me twice what I wanted.

Yet again fish was rubbery. May have been better cooked to order instead of sitting in the heated cabinet continuing to cook
