Oh My Cod!

Ordered kebabs and a cod today and it was absolutely delicious, The cod was huge and food is freshly cooked. I ordered by phone and came in 10 minutes and my food was ready, it was hot and the service was amazing from the staff, who are very welcoming and friendly

I cannot recommend Oh My Cod enough! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the friendliest and most welcoming staff. They go above and beyond with patience and a smile, even during the busiest times. It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers. And the food… absolutely delicious! The fish is perfectly golden and crispy on the outside, tender and flaky on the inside. The chips are spot on – fresh, piping hot, and cooked just right. Everything tastes fresh and full of flavour, the way fish and chips should be. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both fantastic service and consistently tasty food, but Oh My Cod gets it right every single time. Definitely my go-to spot – highly recommended!

Calling this place a fish and chip shop is like calling a pigeon an eagle. They somehow sell fish, chips, doner and shish kebabs, yet have failed to master a single one. The fish was so dry I nearly needed CPR halfway through. The batter had all the crunch of soggy wallpaper, and the chips tasted like they'd been cooked during the last Bank Holiday and reheated every day since. The doner meat looked like it had been rotating since the London Olympics, while the shish kebab had the moisture content of a garden fence post. The shop smelled like old fryer oil, the food looked exhausted, and the only thing arriving fresh was my regret. I've had better meals from a petrol station at 2 a.m. Save your money, save your taste buds, and save yourself the emotional damage.

We always such a lovely dinner from Oh my Cod! Millie served us and she was absolutely brilliant – super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Honestly, the food was incredible – so fresh and full of flavour. Can’t fault the service either, everything was done quickly and with a smile. Highly recommend for a relaxed cheeky take away! Fresh fish and chips or shish any day!!

Kebab was quite good, got a chicken shish. Had it in a pitta and saw that the salad was practically nonexistent. I have also noticed that the 5 star reviews are being doubled as the same people are writing them again. I’m assuming it’s a worker there..
