Haweli Restaurant ® Ilford

Haweli is a fantastic restaurant serving authentic Pakistani cuisine. The food was fresh, full of flavour and beautifully prepared. Every dish had the rich, traditional taste you would expect from homemade Pakistani cooking. The portions were generous, the service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere made the experience even more enjoyable. It felt like enjoying a proper meal in Pakistan. If you're looking for authentic Pakistani food with great taste and excellent value, Haweli is definitely worth visiting. I would happily come back again. Highly recommended! 🇵🇰🍛

Really great food and in large quantities. Great service too! No complaints whatsoever. I just am not exited by the environment. The lights are too strong and the wrong colors and I don't like all that plastic gold and at silver decorations. This place needs someone with taste and it can rock!

We recently visited Haweli on Ilford Lane, and it was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time. Everything from the food to the hospitality was top notch. ​The Food: We started with the starters, ordering the Malai Boti, Chicken Tikka Boti, and Fish. Every single bite was incredibly flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. For our main course, we had the Lamb Karahi paired with fresh Naan. It was rich, authentic, and packed with flavor. To top it all off, we ended our meal with their Kheer, which was the perfect, delicious sweet ending to an amazing dinner. ​The Service: What truly sets Haweli apart is their out class service. A special shoutout to the manager, Bilal, who was incredibly kind, friendly, and took the time to chat with us. He was the one who convinced us to try the Lamb Karahi, and we are so glad he did, it was spectacular! Our server, Aon, was also fantastic extremely courteous, attentive, and polite throughout the Evening. ​We had an amazing time, felt incredibly welcomed, and will definitely be visiting again! Highly recommended to anyone looking for delicious food and exceptional service on Ilford Lane.

Fantastic experience with family. Best authentic Pakistani food experience. We had breakfast and ordered extra kulcha(naan with sesame seeds). Kulcha was fully covered with sesame seeds and was delicious with chanay which were fully lahori flavour chanay. Purees were soft and flaky and tasted wonderful with chana and achari onions. Overall very good experience and next will try dinner. Badar the host was very pleasant person to meet. All staff was very welcoming and friendly. Usually it is said that authentic food needs time and takes minimum 30 minutes before prepared and served. But here food came very fast(within 10 minutes), but with full authentic flavours. Parking is bit difficult especially during weekends and busy hours, but you can find Parking in surrounding streets where you can pay by app ringGo for a maximum of two hours for a price of £4.50 (July 2026).

Their chicken karahi is rich, bold, and cooked with the kind of depth you only get from proper desi-style preparation. I also tried the haleem, and it was genuinely impressive — creamy, hearty, and packed with flavour. The ambience is warm and inviting, with a clean setup and a comfortable family-friendly vibe. Service was attentive and polite, making the overall experience smooth and enjoyable. The only challenge is parking, which can be quite difficult on Ilford Lane, especially during busy hours. But once you’re inside, the food and service make it worth the effort.
