The Lancaster Arms

First time at the Lancaster Arms and won’t be our last! Sunday lunch was amazing, sooooo tasty and plenty of it. The roasties are to die for and the roasted garlic was a delicious bonus. I have to mention the chocolate orange cheesecake too … delicious 😋 We were served by Esme & Ellie who were lovely, very attentive without being too much. Thank you, we will be back 🙂 x

Got very curious about their Sunday roast as this was greatly recommended by a friend. We went in without a reservation, and even with a nearly full restaurant on Easter Sunday, they still accommodated us. Now if you want a Sunday roast, you have to do it properly— get the sirloin steak slices!! The meat was so juicy and tasted even better with the gravy. The Yorkshire puddings were as big as my face. Don't get me started on the roasties! I tell you these were the BEST roasties I've ever had in my life. Thank goodness the roasties (and greens and gravy) were unlimited because you WILL be asking for more. If my stomach was an endless pit, I'd eat this forever 😮‍💨 I was in a food coma after. 11 out of 10 would go again (and again).

First time going to the Lancaster arms after lots of recommendations. What a fantastic local pub/restaurant. Definitely not disappointed, the food was fantastic, staff so friendly and welcoming, we can’t wait to come back. Also the little touch for our anniversary was so lovely. I had a wonderful afternoon/ evening celebrating my birthday with family and friends. Seated in the Garden Cabanas, great atmosphere, food delicious😊 Millie served us, service was outstanding. Team could not do enough. Thank you !

We celebrated my mum’s 70th birthday at the Lancaster Arms in Desford on Saturday 27th June 2026, and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening. The buffet food was absolutely out of this world—everyone commented on how delicious it was, and there was plenty for all our guests. The atmosphere was fantastic, and everything was so well organised from start to finish. A very special thank you to Sharon, Liam, and all of the staff for going above and beyond to make the night so memorable. Their hard work, friendliness, and attention to detail made my mum’s milestone birthday truly special, and we can’t thank them enough. If you’re looking for a venue for a celebration or just a great pub with amazing food and outstanding service, we highly recommend the Lancaster Arms. Came across this pub by chance as not from the area. The Sunday Sharing Platter was such a great idea and cooked to perfection. The staff were very attentive, extremely pleasant and couldn’t do enough for us. Will definitely travel the extra miles to return to this fabulous place! Is it?

We had a private event for a family birthday. The space was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Was absolutely perfect. Easily accessible for our party. From initially contacting Sharon right through to the day the team have been amazing and very personable. The food was divine and enjoyed by everyone. I'm looking forward to going back to try the Sunday roasts!!! Thank you to Louie and the team on the day.
