Changed ownership a few years back & to be honest it’s heartbreaking. Chips are more expensive for lower quality & the portions are tiny compared to what they were. Ribs are just bone with bbq sauce. Wedges are hard. Price gone up, quality & quantity down. Neighbourhood gem gone to shite.
Worst fish and chips I have ever had... fish was chewy, rubbery and had no taste. The chips, well a mixture of frozen crinkle cut and straight cut.... absolutely awful...
I only use it to buy chips and maybe a pie when I fancy the food of my childhood. I like the chips and the pie is as I remember it. I can't comment on the fish because I haven't had it. Forgot about the wedges...they are great. My good friend Roland loves them too. 💕 The new owners and the young woman who serves customers are exceptionally polite and kind. Please support these local businesses on Glyndon as they are good for our community and are challenging to run in the current economic circumstances.
I havent been this chip shop for ages -glad i popped in , very friendly and food was very good. Plenty of chips and the fish was quite big for a medium piece - would recommend .
Regular place to pop in for a quick bite.
