Magic Doner

I ordered a doner wrap from Magic Doner and for £5 it’s actually pretty decent — nice, filling, and good value for money. One thing that really confused me though: I asked for garlic sauce multiple times and somehow it still didn’t make it into my wrap. Not sure what went wrong there, but it was frustrating since it would’ve made it much better. Overall, decent spot if you want something cheap and filling, just maybe double-check your order before you walk away.

Just popped into Luton and stumbled across this place. One of the first things I did was look at it's Google reviews only to see that it scored 3.5 out of 5, from a total of 60 reviews. I understand this is a very new shop, hence there might be bitter competition nearby. The premise is significantly cleaner than other kebab shops nearby, and this place used the machine to slice donner strips from the spit. Prices are very competitive (£4.99 at the time of writing) though the portion size is a standard one, which is enough for one person. I got myself two sandwiches, being the shawarma and lamb donner, as they offer the selection and chicken donner too. The shawarma is exactly what you'd expect from Turkish restaurants in Harringay or shawarma places in Edgware Road, succulent and flavoured well. The lamb donner too and the donner slices were thick, exactly how I prefer it (thickness of donner strips can be adjusted by the machine). Would I come here again ? Absolutely, but unfortunately I don't live nearby. Ignore fake reviews, if you're skeptical, then just stroll past and you'll see even from outside the premises that they're clean and the quality of the meat is prime, not dry and stale.

Its a very nice clean place, staff were friendly, but the food was let down. Chicken shawarma was dead completely bland. Food was was not nice at all. Wouldn't recommend anyone to go out your way to go there but if you passing by maybe pop in.

Standards are decreasing. Have noticed the change as we have been customers for a while. Yesterday we bought a biryani which tasted bitter and contained more whole spices than the rice, no real biryani flavour. 2 chicken sharwarma naan rolls which contained more salad and a little chicken, the naan was so thin that the roll couldn't be held as it tore into bits, no seasoning tasted bland, the item itself has significantly reduced in size too but price remains same. Time to search for another eatery.

"The chicken tasted stale and reheated. I was disappointed with the quality of the food during my visit." I would avoid including complaints about staff speaking another language, because that can come across unfairly and most review platforms may see it as unrelated to service or food quality.
