Delicje is a well-stocked Polish shop with a great range of products that you don’t usually find in standard supermarkets. Prices are a bit higher than average, but the quality and variety make up for it. The staff are very helpful and friendly, always happy to assist. On Saturdays, they also do a BBQ in front of the shop in the free car park, which is a nice extra touch. Overall, it’s a great place for specialty groceries.
Visited Topps Tiles next door. Felt very hungry and thirsty in the hot weather, so went here to grab a biscuit and a cold drink. I had only two items. At the till a man ahead of me had several items. He was continuously chatting with the young staff woman with short hair. Even after the sale was over, they kept chatting. They knew I was waiting. I have no problem if the staff member woman had a lot to catch up with the man and wanted to chat but she should not keep another customer waiting. She should have finished with my sale and then continued the chat or multi task. Very unprofessional.
I love this shop! It has everything I need at reasonable prices, and the staff always go out of their way to help. One time, they didn’t have the tomato sauce I liked—so a lovely lady searched high and low, then ordered it in specially and made sure it would arrive before my next visit. Another time, I had some trouble paying with my phone and didn't have a good connection. What did they do? They offered me access to their WiFi. That’s service ☝🏻 As for the complaining Karens below? I can’t support their views at all. I’ve been to this shop countless times and never had an issue. Go in looking for a fight, and the staff won’t entertain it. But treat them with respect, and they’ll go above and beyond for you. It’s that simple.
This was the first and definitely the last time I’ll ever set foot in this shop. The people working near the fridges were incredibly rude and completely unhelpful. When I asked how to make a complaint about their behavior, they claimed everything was fine and said there was no complaint form available. It felt like they just didn’t care at all. The shop is overpriced, has a poor selection, and honestly, the way I was treated made me regret ever walking in. Terrible experience—I strongly advise others to avoid this place
The shop itself is a good Polish shop and I usually love visiting here! Unfortunately yesterday, the young guy at the counter made unnecessary sarcastic comments when I needed help with something, which made me feel VERY uncomfortable. I left items behind because of this as I wanted to leave. Not professional atall.
Great shop, really welcoming staff and an almost adventure exploring foods from other countries and cultures. Even given the overheads the place will have to get the food in prices are still good and we'll worth a visit
We come here every saturday after taking our little boy to tumble twist and turn next door. I have polish heritage and love to come in here looking for ingredients for polish dishes but there is such an amazing stock of all kinds in here. The polish cut meats, sourdough bread and eggs are better than you'll get in the standard supermarkets. The guys that run the shop are super lovely and are always so welcoming especially to our little boy who loves the selection of polish confectionary.
