Bulls Head

Possibly my first ever visit ( or 40+ years ago!) Casta treating us to a day out. A large Robinson's pub serving food. A super conservatory plus a large beer patio. Two real ales. Unicorn bitter and Dizzy Blond. Card only. ( No Amex, for my mate Paul's info.)

We have popped in several times for a drink. Friendly and fast service. Easy to access clean facilities. A really great outdoor space/beer garden. Reasonably priced and a good range of alcohol/ alcohol free cocktails as well. Will return.

The quality of the food was bang on, however.. my food came out Lukewarm and the chips were cold within a few mins, I should of sent it back but was too hungry to be bothered. my friend had the halloumi wrap, she said it wasn't crispy and still had the milky cheese on it from being undercooked 😖 also her salt and pepper fries were smothered in sweet chilli sauce for some reason. Surely salt and pepper fries don't need extra flavouring. Also I think the pub definitely needs signs saying please don't vape in that area where people are eating as multiple were.

What a great place. We booked a table and when we arrived we were shown straight to it. The service was excellent. The food was very good, extremely tasty and there was loads of choice. We will definitely be coming back while in the area to try other dishes.

Wow what a transformation from the Bulls Head of old. From a not so friendly Man's drinking hole to a very welcoming cosy town pub with fabulous food. The young staff were so bubbly and efficient. We will be calling again sooner than 20year gap of last time.

Just been in there 30 minutes ago 14/01/26 and really want to make special mention of the amazingly friendly and helpful staff in there, 1 guy and 1 girl specifically I regret I did not get their names but they made 3 unsure Aussies very welcome and relaxed. The food being amazing was an added bonus. Thank you.

Visited for the first time with a friend for tea last week and was so impressed! Staff were all so friendly from the minute we walked in. The vegan menu is very impressive and we ordered all our food off there. The vegan greek tacos were so tasty and we shared the salt and pepper fries. I also had an oat milk cappuccino which was lovely! Can’t wait to come back. Very cosy inside too!
