I recently had the pleasure of hosting at Bombay in Stourbridge. Although I didn't get the chance to try the food on this visit, every dish I saw being served looked beautifully presented and smelled incredible. The restaurant had a fantastic atmosphere, the staff were friendly and professional, and the service throughout the evening was excellent. I did get to enjoy a selection of cocktails, and they were absolutely spectacular. They were expertly made, well presented, and full of flavour. It's clear the team takes pride in delivering a great experience from the moment you walk through the door. From what I witnessed, diners around me looked genuinely impressed with their meals, and the restaurant was buzzing with happy customers. The combination of stylish surroundings, attentive service, and quality drinks made for a brilliant evening. I'd love to come back soon to experience the full menu and give Bombay the food review it deserves. If you're looking for a modern Indian restaurant with a great atmosphere and outstanding cocktails, this is definitely one to visit. Bombay Stourbridge, holler at me when you're ready. I'd love to return, sample the menu properly, and show the world just how good your food really is.
The restaurant is classy, the staff is attentive and professional and the food is exceptional. Everything we've had here has been absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!
Absolutely fantastic experience. The food was fresh, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great place for both a family meal and a night out. The curries were rich and authentic, and the naan bread was some of the best I’ve had. Excellent value for money and I will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!
We had a very tasty meal in very comfortable and cool restaurant Bombay. The staff were very attentive and nothing was to much trouble. We will definitely be returning ( hopefully the weather won't be so hot 🥵)
I am not sure if I should refer to this place as The Bombay or Bombay Pickles. It's been a long time since we were last here, mainly due to its popularity, so they are obviously doing something right. It appears to have had a face-lift in recent times and perhaps new ownership? That said there are a few areas that need attention including the gents toilet door which is devoid of any lock or handle, and both of our menus were falling apart. It's a nice place otherwise, providing you don't look too closely. The all female staff on a rare Monday night out for us were lovely. Very helpful and in tune with the menu which isn't the most comprehensive, but they can do anything. Similarly I am not sure if my rather nice Desi Chilli Shredded Chicken Bhuna dish was actually on it. The sheekh kebab was the only thing that we weren't keen on, coarse ground meat, quite hot even for someone who likes a bit of heat but slightly lacking in flavour, typically Pakistani rather than Bangladeshi I suggest. All else was excellent, so I guess if we had gone for an onion bhaji my review would be gushing. There's a decent selection of drinks but only Cobra lager on draught. It's not cheap but overall we thought it was worth it as the quality and service was there, plus there was a complimentary dessert and Baileys. 10% Service charge is automatically added. Edit, 12 months on and we had an excellent Friday night experience. Unsurprisingly it was rammed and some tables would have had a bit of a wait. You can disregard much of the above, and I didn't have a sheekh kebab, so not sure if this has improved. I would add that my chicken madras was superb, as was the very flavoursome pilau rice which was non of that three colour variation. There's a new menu, also acting as a place mat. A special mention for 'Mez' the Lancashire lass who went above and beyond in looking after us. She's a great asset. Edit, exactly a week later and we were here again due to the insistence of the wife. The restaurant was quiet compared to the previous perhaps unsurprisingly so on the hottest day of the year. Not that it matters inside as they have air conditioning. Overall we enjoyed it even more.
