There chips are the worse i have in ages not just once not just once, but for the last six times they’re like scratching but the Curry sauce is really nice. I’m never ever gonna buy them from there again. I keep saying that because it’s local it’s easier so never again for me. They must have been there all day really cooked and then cook them terrible if there was no star that’s what I give zero

Paid for Cod, didn’t get it! Called in 7pm on 13/06/26 for three cod and chips. The fish was already in the cabinet having been pre cooked before we arrived. Got back to where we were staying to find that my fish was absolutely not cod. It was what looked like 2 small fillets of either Bassa or Tilapia stuck together then battered….! Not good considering we paid £34. Please note - the other 2 were indeed cod and were delicious. Big portions and the batter was nicely cooked. Chips were a bit so, so though… Just a shame that one of the fish wasn’t cod. As I’ve worked in the commercial fishing industry for years, trust me I know the difference! If it was my regular chippy I would have taken it back but we were starving and just travelling through Birmingham. The place is worth a visit, friendly staff, just make sure you get what you’re paying for!

I am regular customer for many years, the food is always fresh, flavoursome, cooked to perfection fresh and accompanied by generous sides,I would give them 10 stars if I could. There is a wait sometimes because each order is cooked to order, but isn't it worth the wait for good food? In line with the current cost of things, the prices are reasonable, and the service is always excellent. I particularly enjoy doner kebabs because they are thinly cut and cooked to perfection. In all these years I have never been disappointed with the quality and service. Today we have ordered chicken sheesh and battered fish, taste was so good that i couldn't resist myself from writing a review.

Went lunchtime yesterday and I can honestly say I’ve never had such bad chips in all my life!! The pie was microwaved and looked like it had been sitting around for days, the gravy was microwaved, the chips looked like they’d been left in the fryer all week and I’m glad to say the only positive part of this review is that we made it though the night…. 😮‍💨 💩

I had a very disappointing experience at Olive Tree Fish Bar. The customer service was poor from start to finish, and the staff didn't seem interested in helping. The fish looked old and had an unpleasant smell, which made me question its freshness. The quality of the food was far below what I expected, especially considering the price. I couldn't enjoy my meal and won't be returning. I would advise others to think twice before ordering from here. There are much better places that offer fresher food and treat customers with respect. 😨🤢🤮

Firstly both their in shop and Just Eat menus show battered chips but they no longer do battered chips. Secondly, when selecting a kids meal they only show cans of fizzy pop not fruit shoots. Have been both in shop and ordered. Owner was rude and though I'd ordered battered chips, he claimed they don't have them and didn't refund me the difference. Also no drinks were sent and when I quieried this he gave me this garbled story about fruit shoots only but failed to send them. Clearly they have taken over from previous owners. TL:DR Chips were cold and hard, batter was greasy. They don't do the whole menu advertised and customer service is bad. Even when you are owed items or downgraded on deliveries, they won't fulfil it. Avoid at all costs.

Went to this place as we were in the area and it smelt good. We had to scramble around for change as he said he undercharged me by 90p. Went to eat it outside M&S. It didnt look very appetising but decided to try it anyway. Fish was awful and chips were hard. Then i came across a nail in the food. Decided to bag it all up with the nail seperate. The man behind the counter called me a liar and it wasn't his nail, well it wasnt mine because i have acrylic on mine. He said did i want another fish? No, i don't think so! He said he will call his boss to ask him. After slagging me off in turkish, he finally decided to refund me then told me not to come back. Don't worry i won't!
