The Chicken Shop

Can I have a chicken salad on brown? What bread do you want ? Do you want salad ? Best question of all Do you want chicken on it Laughable service Food gone down in standard with bones in the chicken Won't be going again

What a disappointment this shop is now!! Under previous owners you could smell the delicious chicken from Gerard street!! Now it’s just extremely poor quality pre prepared and shoddily served , do not recommend

Well, the new owners have already ruined this place, which was once an Ashton institution, and I'm absolutely devastated! We've had hundreds of chickens from here over the years and never a single issue. However, the last two we've had have been pale, soggy, and one even had hairs left all over the skin. The chicken itself is now wet and a horrible texture, with parts of the thighs and legs so soggy and grey that they're inedible. I'm throwing half of today's in the bin. The new owners have obviously opted to try and up profits by using cheaper chickens that are pumped full of water. Also, all the lovely pies, etc. that they used to sell have now also been, oddly, replaced by an entire fridge full of baguettes, and a sign advertising a baguette and chips deal?! Idiots.

Fast and friendly service! I'm always looking for somewhere good to go for my lunch at work, and I've found my new favourite place.

Went in to buy some chicken breast which are cooked the all so sell pies rolls cooked meat You can make your own sandwich up with say chicken and salad
