Clumber Park Cafe

Impressively terrible. I expected sullen, under paid and under supervised teenagers who ignore you and talk to each other ✅ I expected it to be overpriced ✅ ..mission accomplished! £4.90 for a sausage roll. I expected the atmosphere to be a bit chaotic on a busy day ✅ ..mainly because of the constant calling out of order numbers as the dominating soundtrack. I expected the food to be decent ❌. Oh my days - £7.50 for three supermarket fishfingers in a dry cob, all of which was cold and somehow both crunchy and limp.

Had a lovely breakfast bap consisting of an egg, sausage and bacon. It cost £6.50 and a flat white coffee £3.50. Service was rather slow though, waited a while for the bap and it wasn’t busy either. Visited mid week!

A lovely place to visit, it was too hot to walk around the whole lake but plenty of seats in the shade. Cafe has a good range of food and very clean and tidy 👍.

Well, dont get the hog roast sandwhich, the culinary achievement here is how you can make pork taste of so little, nothing in actual fact. Asked for some salt to try and infuse some flavour into the blandest pork sandwhich in history and every single salt pot was empty and they didnt have any salt in the kitchen, managed to find one with some scrapingings in it and it was reflective of the whole experiance that even the salt tasted of nothing!

Really love the revamped cafe and really great to see inclusive dining. 🥰

As a first time visitor I was VERY disappointed. I asked if they did any kind of Gluten free options! and while the staff member rolled her eyes and said we have a jacket potatoe. I'm sorry but for a cafe with a very limited menu towards food allergies you need to do better!
