Mexicano York

5 stars all the way! Went here yesterday and am so glad I did! I had the chicken quesadilla and the chicken was quite literally the best chicken I’d ever tasted. Such good seasoning and NOT drenched in loads of sauces or excess flavors. Lovely flour tortilla too with loads of grated cheese before grilling into a melted, tasty quesadilla I’m from Texas, living in the UK for 5 years and good Mexican food is the food I miss the most. We have great Tex-Mex in Texas and this tasted like I bought it in Dallas, Texas! The owner was super friendly and knows how to make greet food! If only I lived closer but will definitely go anytime I’m in York!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely love the burritos from Mexicano in York! 🌯 The ingredients are always really fresh, everything is full of flavour and the portions are great. Service is consistently quick, and delivery has always been fast too. The food arrives fresh and well prepared every time. Definitely one of my go-to places for a good burrito in York — highly recommend!

This place is SOOOOO good! I ordered a beef-barbacoa quesadilla and it was delicious! The meat was perfectly cooked and the cheese was so good! I totally recommend this place, very clean and the gentleman that works there is very friendly!

Food is actually quite nice, but the customer service is shocking. The food had more personality than the guy behind the counter. Very rude; no hello, please, thank you or goodbye. Think the guy could do with learning some manners. My recommendation go elsewhere.

The best fast food in York, and I'm not talking about the greasy and saturated kind of food we often find around. I'm talking about fast food, but healthy, that meets all the requirements of a balanced meal. I love the fact that I can customise my burrito to my liking, adding quality meat, fresh salads, and a delicious cheese they have there, making each meal unique and tasty. I'm a fan of this restaurant and cannot recommend it enough. I've tried the whole menu: Tacos, Nachos, Quesadilla, sandwich, and loved them all, but the burrito is my favourite. Besides this place serving healthy, fast, and high-quality food, they have an incredibly affordable price. All the other options in York that serve similar Mexican food are much more expensive and do not give you that feeling of being 100% satisfied, like having eaten my mum's Sunday meal, which brings comfort and satiety. Another thing to add is the exceptional service; the staff are very friendly and helpful, always ready to assist and ensure your experience is the best possible. I highly recommend this place and go back whenever I can or also order through the Deliveroo app, as it is one of the best options for quick, healthy, and delicious meals I've found in York, a real gem.

I want to leave a review saying it was the best burrito and nachos I have ever had, and I understand why there are some reviews saying the staff are rude, but the reason is that they speak very little English. However, they were amazing and helped me build the best burrito. Thank you very much Mexicano.

Very rude guy behind the counter to serve you food. It is very annoying because the general quality of ingredients is good but this becomes immaterial and the general experience is ruined by employee’s attitude. He overcharges customers too. BETTER GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
