Lazo Shawarma & Cafe

I had the good fortune to come across this Blackburn gem recently. I was in the area and my wife and I thought we’d try the ‘new place’ and we’re so glad we did. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The place was clean and the food was freshly prepared and very tasty. We always try the unique dishes on the menu as a habit and Lazo did not disappoint. We started with a soup each; the Chick pea soup and the Potato soup. Both were hearty and delicious. Then we had the Kurdish Kebab which was succulent and well flavoured. Although we were pretty full because the portion sizes were generous. We then had to try the house special; mixed Lamb and Chicken Shawarma served on a bed of chips, salad and sauce. We couldn’t finish it, so we packed it to take home. The owner personally went around making sure each and every customer was happy with the food and service, which was rather special and touching, showing care and commitment. All in all a wonderful find and we will definitely be going again, probably as a family👌🏻

Have been meaning to try the place for a while. Came with a friend and we were greeted warmly and took a seat. Food was good value and good overall. Sauces were plenty and potion sizes were generous. Good relaxed atmosphere and will come back again.

Had such a lovely experience eating here. The staff were warm, polite, and attentive really good service from start to finish. I ordered the chicken shawarma, and it was honestly one of the best I’ve had. The salad alongside it was incredibly fresh olives, onions, cabbage everything tasted clean, vibrant, and full of flavour. It really gave that wholesome Mediterranean-style feel. They also brought out a complimentary lentil starter, which was comforting and a really nice touch. The lamb broth soup was rich, warming, and so satisfying I genuinely wanted more. The naan roti was fresh, soft, and perfectly bubbly just right. And the Desi chai… the aroma was beautiful and fresh, and the taste was just as good smooth, fragrant, and the perfect finish. Everything felt clean, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend.

Lovely place, the food is brilliant, staff is so so friendly, good atmosphere here. Prices are really good too
