We had a wonderful evening at Bedouin last weekend. There were 9 of us so quite a large party but the service was so warm, friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious - we shared two lots of mixed starters which were fantastic including the beautiful bread accompanying them. We had a range of mains including the baked sea bass, chicken and various tagines. The vegetarian dishes looked beautiful and got the thumbs up for taste as well. We also sampled some of the non alcoholic cocktails which were so refreshing especially the Ottoman, a luscious blend of apple, yogurt and cinnamon. Unfortunately we didn't have room for desserts but we did have some delicious mint tea after dinner. I highly recommend Bedouin for wonderful food and a fantastic atmosphere.
We had a really lovely meal at Bedouin in Cambridge. To start, we shared a meze-style platter with a selection of dips and warm bread, which was a great way to begin the meal and perfect for sharing. For the mains, I chose the lamb cutlets. They were incredibly juicy, well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. My partner ordered the roasted aubergine, which was equally delicious and full of flavour. Dessert was an easy decision. We had to try the baklava and it did not disappoint. Sweet, crisp, and very satisfying. We also ordered the soya ice cream which was pleasant enough, though not quite as memorable as the rest of the meal. Service was a little slow throughout the evening, though the quality of the food made the wait worthwhile. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and somewhere we would happily return to.
Bedouin is one of the most authentic restaurant we came over in Cambridge, the atmosphere and food was soo good matched we kept going there.. People who are struggling to ho to a proper Northern African cuisine thats your place. We tried the Lamb liver, shirmp and the chicken Felous Masella
Everything was absolutely delicious! The Crevettes Mchermla (king prawns in spicy sauce) and Djedj M’dhamer were packed with flavour, and the caramelised fig tart was pure heaven. A truly memorable meal highly recommend😍😋
We made a reservation and was seated as soon as we got in. The decor is very nice and was cozy. The music wasn’t too loud and was able to talk and hear over. The food was delicious, and the freshly squeezed juice was very nice and seemed to have been made with passion. I liked that the starter we had was the chefs choice of dips, and so would be different each time. We would’ve stayed for dessert but was very full up from the starter and the main. The only problem was that there wasn’t much space for bags and coats.
Bedouin is a fantastic spot for South African cuisine, with dishes that are rich, full of depth, and beautifully layered in flavour. We especially love the lamb shank—it’s so good that we end up ordering it every time we visit. The quality has been consistently excellent, and it has never disappointed. A reliable favourite that we’re always happy to return to.
Lovely atmosphere and great service! I had the special which was a beef shtetha with saffron potatoes - a very memorable dish. Everything was delicious - the only downside being that we ate too many starters and so didn't have room for the desserts which sounded fantastic. We settled for some mint tea instead but our regret may force us to come back again soon with emptier stomachs.
