Olimitzi - The Mediterranean Kitchen

During a quick getaway to Canterbury with a friend, we stopped by this lovely Greek restaurant for lunch and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The lamb moussaka was extraordinary rich, comforting, and full of beautifully balanced flavours. The real star of the meal, though, was the meatballs. They were absolutely delicious, with a perfect texture and a tomato sauce that tasted incredibly fresh, vibrant, and homemade. Every bite felt full of care and authentic Greek flavours. (Apologies, no picture, we’ve finished them in 5 minutes). The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and they gave us some fantastic recommendations that really helped us make the most of our day. Their warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. A wonderful place for a relaxed lunch, great food, and a little taste of Greece in the heart of Canterbury. I’d happily return next time I’m in town.

Fabulous hidden little place. Staff are super friendly and welcoming, food is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced too. Would definitely eat here again! Only thing I'm gutted about is that I couldn't manage a dessert, the list sounded amazing!

Loved the decor , very Mediterranean. Friendly welcome, loved the rose wine. I think we chose poorly, so will give it another go. Went for the mixed fish platter, which was all breadcrumbed and deep fried. So all very brown and similar texture . Not my thing! Would of been so much nicer with different modes of cooking. The oil also made the restaurant smell , possibly poor extraction.... 42.00

Fabulous Greek restaurant in the heart of Canterbury, we visited before a show. The food is outstanding as was the service. I had the Combo for 1 which I was hard pushed to finish but managed !! The first food I think I ever had that didn’t need to be seasoned it was perfect. We will be sure to visit here again and soon.

Fantastic restaurant. Lovely, homely atmosphere , very friendly service. Both the antipasti platter and the chicken gyros were delicious. We will definitely come back!
