Great loyal crowd heading here every week for the same thing .... Great food and fantastic service. Sunday lunches up there with the best in Cumbria and fantastic value too. Pop in for a takeaway, you'll get the choice of 4 meats, 4 sauces, stacks of perfect accompaniments and the ultimate Yorkshire puds. Great beer selection Service absolutely faultless. Highly recommended.

Popped in on the way back from scafell pike and had one of the best carvery’s I’ve ever eaten! Absolutely bagging with very generous portions.

This pub serves delicious food and has very good swift service. I ate the Thai Green Curry and it was delicious, better than in many Thai restaurants in the world I have eaten (and those are many, I love Thai food). Together with my favourite beer, which is Guinness. Service was friendly and great. It is a bit of a pity the pub had a more modern style than I like, but recommend it to anyone looking for great food at a good price.

First time at this place and I must say it’s absolutely delicious. Very friendly atmosphere and even better food. Our bartender Andrew was lovely and friendly. They also had the match on so my partner was able to enjoy some football. They provided some paper so my kids could colour in and also had highchairs.

Very friendly and busy pub. The food was amazing, especially the sea bass. Definitely the place to be on a Saturday night after a big hike.

Really well cooked food and quality items used. Very tasty and would recommend.
