Stumbled on this pub while on a trip to Brighton during a Saturday lunchtime. It was a lovely, cosy atmosphere and instantly felt welcoming. Absolutely fantastic food and wonderful, friendly service. We'll definitely be visiting again!

Jess was lovely, such a warm person. Had to wait a bit for our room. Glad it was a nice day so at least we could enjoyed sun in the beer garden. No breakfast at this pub so that was disappointing. If you need a room near town then it's fine but for the price I would expect a breakfast! . That said, very friendly staff and I would use again if I was in the area

I had a fabulous stay and would happily return. Although I was only visiting for one night on a work trip, the experience exceeded my expectations. Dinner was excellent—I highly recommend the steak burger—and the standout feature was the exceptional service. The staff were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making me feel at ease after a long journey. The room was comfortable, well-equipped with everything I needed, and provided a great night's sleep. Overall, a wonderful stay, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Really enjoyed our three day stay here. Loved the decor in the room, and the side entrance to get into and out of the building without needing to go through the pub is a nice touch. Food was great as well. I won't call them downsides (just stuff to be aware of), you'll find it difficult to park here if travelling by car and the pub was quite loud on the Saturday evening - but that does come with the territory and I had a good night sleep regardless. Would highly recommend if you want to visit Hove or if you want to visit Brighton but want to stay somewhere slightly quieter

Nestled in the calm streets away from the bustling crowd the Stirling caters for the more discerning crowd. With a great vibe and cool music- the food is fresh, tasty and served with a smile. Great selection of ales and lagers - and small enclosed courtyard.

Initially the bathroom light was flickering but they fixed this promptly while I was out. Comfy bed, unique original room decor, excellent shower. Weather was hot but the fan kept the room cool. I would definitely stay there again.

Nice pub in a great location, but eye wateringly expensive, especially considering it's supposed to be a 'community pub', whatever that means. They don't have their beer prices on display anywhere either, so you don't know how much you're going to be fleeced before being charged, which feels like sharp practice, and is I think against the law?
