The food here is amazing, the flavours are authentic. I ordered the chicken tikka wrap and chola bhatura and it was fantstic. The food was prepared fresh and was the best meal I’ve had in a while.

Right at the entry to Victorian Market. We had a truely authentic Indian experience. The food is next level. The owner is super nice. They know how to handle spices. They are masters of their Craft. And the indian background music makes you feel that you are on a short Holiday in India.

Namaste Inbhir Nis – A Hidden Gem in Inverness Finding authentic Indian street food in Inverness was the last thing I expected, and yet, Namaste Inbhir Nis blew me away completely. I ordered the Chole Bhature, and honestly, it transported me straight back to a Delhi street corner. The bhature were perfectly puffed and golden, crispy on the outside, soft within, and the chole had that deep, slow-cooked richness with just the right amount of spice. Paired with a hot masala chai, it turned an ordinary morning into something genuinely special. What makes this place truly stand out, though, is the heart behind it. The couple running this stall are warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about their food and culture. The moment you walk up, you feel like a guest in someone's home rather than a customer at a counter. That kind of hospitality is rare anywhere, let alone tucked inside a market in the Scottish Highlands. If you're a vegetarian, this is your paradise. The menu is packed with genuine, flavourful options that don't feel like an afterthought. To the lovely couple behind the counter: thank you. You're doing something truly special up here in Inverness, and I hope many more people discover what you've created. Don't walk past this place. Stop. Eat. You'll thank yourself.

A true gem in Inverness. Never expected to find such amazing good quality Indian food in Inverness. We were on a Scotland trip from London and randomly came across this shop. After having the best Channa Batura and chicken biriyani we went back for more on the following day. The gulab jamun is a must try. Not the sickly sweet jamuns you find in sweet shop. The one you get here is authentic, not overly sweet, soft jamuns. A must visit when you are in Inverness. Wish you guys all the best.

If you eat nowhere else in Inverness, make sure you try this place. Absolutely top quality Indian food, reasonable prices, and super friendly and efficient service. IGNORE all the other stalls in the Victorian Market Food Hall, and seek this one out. Someday, I’ll spend a week in Inverness and sample more things from what is an extensive, but focussed menu. I had the Goan Gish Curry (made from genuine Basa), with naan bread. 8 stars out of 5, at least.
