We stopped by for breakfast last week and were really impressed. The portions were generous, and everything was cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were genuinely friendly. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area. A lovely place that's well worth a visit!
Great place to visit and dog friendly to. Food was amazing and staff were really friendly and caring for our little chihuahua Ellie...
We loved this place. Dog and child friendly. And good choice of food and drink. There was a wait for food but only because it is a popular place to eat. We would recommend making time to visit.

Despite what reviews say, FHK offers a great priced, fast service experience that’s warm and welcoming. Indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate different times of the year and are dog friendly. Staff are always smiling and are very responsive and caring when there’s an issue. Not a bad thing can be said about the place, some people just can never be satisfied.
It was our first time trying in FHK , me and my boyfriend absolutely loved the service and the atmosphere . It gave us the cozy cafe vibe on a rainy day in Kendal . The food was amazing .. would definitely recommend people to try their spicy Turkish eggs and full english breakfast. The eggs were top notch and soo soft … something I’ve never had before. On the whole it was a hearty breakfast and an amazing day to start with . All the best FHK 👍
September 2024: Spotted this place whilst passing through Kendal and decided to stop off for some lunch. Lovely cafe with great selection of food and drinks. After being shown to the table, you then need to order food at the counter - some people might not like this but I do as it means you can order without being put under pressure. Food was delicious and well presented. Venue itself had a relaxed atmosphere and was very busy. Only downside is that there was only one toilet and the tables were quite close together. Menu is reasonably priced, given the quality. Free wi-fi was available. Highly recommend a visit if in Kendal.
