We have just got back from our beautiful niece Ruby's 21st celebration we have had the best time the staff were brilliant very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely gorgeous and plentiful. We would highly recommend the venue staff and the whole package for making our celebrations so memorable thank you so much xxx
We stopped here by chance looking for something to eat and it was the best decision of the day. The staff are very welcoming and made sure we feel at right home. The food was exceptional! My parents couldn't finish all their food. You get decent portions and good quality. The place was so cosy and warm, I didn't want to leave. We didn't have a booking and they weren't busy yet on the Sunday lunchtime. It's safer to book a table before you go, but we didn't plan on stopping here. To think we would've gone to a local generic takeaway...the horror! I'd definitely go here again.
Went here as an impromptu visit on a Thursday evening and couldn't fault it! Food was excellent and FANTASTIC value for money!
Beautiful setting & lovely country pub! Amazing food & team are so lovely, so caring & helpful. It was our parents wishes for us to have their celebration of life there & they couldn’t have picked a more welcoming, homely and beautiful setting. Thank you so much to all the team for making a difficult day so wonderful!
We are regulars at this pub, just a few minutes down the road. Love the coziness of the place and the good food too. We enjoy coming for the Sunday roasts, and our experience is always great! Just a tip: booking is necessary. Come early for roasts to get fresh and decent portions. We found that out on Mother’s Day when most of the stuff was sold out. 😝 Also, their kids' roasts are fantastic at just £8 for a decent meal! Services are excellent too! Very friendly and helpful. Thank you.
We had a really lovely afternoon tea here last Sunday. There was no skimping on the sandwich filling either. We felt very satisfied unlike other afternoon teas we've had elsewhere. Will definitely come back again
Very disappointed, went for a meal with my family of 10 for New Years 2026 to try and support the local pub in the current climate. The venue was freezing, we had to literally keep our coats on the whole evening. The fire was lit but died out very quickly, when we moved nearer to the fire and asked if they would relight it we were told they would have to check with the manager and then nothing ! You could literally see your breath in the toilets the whole place was so cold. Food was satisfactory but when we asked for desserts we were told the kitchen had closed @ 9pm which is understandable maybe , it was New Years and only 2 staff members but the pub was empty bar 6 more people and they hadn’t come over to tell us this that the kitchen was closing. We would have stayed longer but left by 9.30pm which was a real shame.
