Basil Broasted بروستد وشاورما الريحان #shawarma

Just moved in to Kilburn, trying to find good and affordable places to eat/hang out. This established has caught me eye and decided to give them a go. Never had broasted chicken before, they have a great deal for it, 12.5 for 8 pieces and tons of chips/wedges. Can easily serve for 2 persons meal. Chicken was super crispy and tasty, fresh and juicy with that golden skin from the fryer. Some pieces are small some big but you'd still get a great deal. I was also given tons of garlic sauce, it's ok but doesn't have strong flavour although works well with wedges. Chicken got this taste which I can't recognise, must be mix of spices; it's not bad, just new so got to process it. Quite delicate taste too, not very strong. Store seems a ran down, some cleaning and basic refurbishment would be welcomed but it's not dirty or ugly, just hasn't seen much maintenance. Even adding napkins and sauces on each table would have helped with first impression. Service is so-so, one worker doesn't speak good English, when other was very helpful and said goodbyes with genuine smile.

Authentic and value for money. Tried the half chicken broasted and cheese muhammara manakish. The broasted was authentic with right amount of flavours and crispy. Unlike many other places this was a proper half chicken i.e. 1 each if wing, drumstick, thigh and breast piece with loads of potato wedges with seasoning on top. This was just for £7, which is a the best £7 meal you can get anywhere in London. The manakish was good with good balance of cheese and muhammara.

I don’t know about the negative reviews, but I have been making orders from that restaurant several times after 2am and they never let me down! (Even though it is not the perfect time for shawarma chicken as it reaches best level in the afternoon) but I have ordered shawarma many times and it is insanely delicious! It is crazy that they do one sandwich for £10 with free extra sandwich! Sometimes they give sauce and pickles for free…It is juicy, delicious and (compared to other restaurants in the UK) this one provides the closest sandwich to real Arabic flavor.

Very nice place to eat. The staff is very friendly and helpful.The atmosphere is nice. Prices are amazing. All the food we ordered was amazing, especially the manaqeesh which stole my heart. I will definitely visit again. Highly recommended.

I sent my husband to pick up some late-night shawarma because I was craving it, and we also tried the lamb ajeen. We were really surprised by how delicious everything was! The garlic sauce was amazing, the quality was great, and the prices were very reasonable. The service was also so kind and welcoming. Mashallah good luck to the team! Even though it’s far from our house, we will definitely keep coming back again and again.
