The food is absolutely amazing, large scallops with black pudding with a view to die for. Look out for sheep & oyster catchers. Then a crab roll which was stuffed to bursting.

Perfect spot for breakfast/lunch! Quick and friendly service, lots of choice and they offer gluten free options! They cooked my breakfast roll in a separate pan to avoid any CC, thank you so so much💖

We recently revisited after first going a couple of years ago, and only recently being back on the island. We went for the scallop and Stornoway black pudding roll and the North Uist crab roll both with a side salad extra, total £21. The food was as delicious as we remembered it to be. The black pudding was the best we’d had all holiday - not too greasy, tasted lovely. The crab was the best crab I’ve had, and absolutely loads in the roll. Tasted very fresh. The side salad is definitely worth the extra 50p - tomatoes, dressing, lettuce and also delicious. Staff are friendly, service is quick, lots of options to choose from and a really great view. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re on the island.

Ate here during the week with the family. Gutted they had run out of lobster rolls (had one last year and it was delicious) so went for the prawn roll. So glad I did. Stuffed full of super fresh, sweet prawns/ langoustines in a seafood sauce. Can’t remember having a nicer roll. Superb. Definitely worth a visit.

A convenient little 'greasy spoon' for all travelling through the area. We stopped for a quick bite. My wife had a crab roll & I had the 'soup of the day' (Lentil soup). Both were reasonably priced and filling. The café was very popular. My wife said the crab was delicious. There was outdoor seating overlooking the bay.

This was a delightful lunch spot. The seafood chowder was some of the best we’ve had and the people working there were very friendly and kind. While it was pouring and we couldn’t use the picnic tables we were able to enjoy the scenery while we ate in the car. Highly recommend.

If you ever find yourself on Uist island in Outer Hebrides , do yourself a favour and get a Scallops & Black Puddin Roll from The Wee Cottage Kitchen. You will not regret, I promise! And the Carrot Cake (which is gluten free btw!)! And the Crab meat roll! Absolutely wonderful freshest local ingredients and great service at the beautiful location! Don’t have enough exclamation points to express our satisfaction! :)))
