Had fish and chips and a sausage and chips here about and week ago with curry sauce. Was amazing. So big, fish amazing. Chips perfect. Curry sauce lovely. Sausage great. Portion size absolutely amazing. And staff were all lovely too. Will definitely be back.

I’ve had a few takeaways from here over the years as it’s local, but unfortunately the quality seems to be getting worse while the prices keep rising. The chips were undercooked, with some still firm in the middle. The gravy had onions and mushrooms in it, which wasn’t expected, and the pudding tasted like it had just been reheated from the day before. Really disappointing for what it cost. The chippy chips just aren’t what they used to be here.

Food was okay.. but very expensive for what it is.. Small noodles £6 Salt and pepper chips £5.50. Add a can of coke and Small tub of curry.. bill came to over £15 quid!!! Bit of a rip that sorry... I won't be going back

Acropolis is a large, well-set-out and well-designed shop. It was clean and tidy, and the staff were smartly dressed and welcoming. I ordered the salt and pepper chicken wings and BBQ ribs, with the wings served in a light batter and packed with flavour. The ribs had good taste, although they were a little dry. The large cod was a generous portion, and the fish was fresh and tasty, though the batter was slightly doughy in places and held a touch of oil. The chips were crispy, tasty, and plentiful. The mushy peas were of a good thickness and genuinely delicious. The large savoury was indeed large, with a crisp coating and plenty of flavour. The gravy had a good consistency and a pleasantly beefy character. working in Ormskirk today pulled over for my tea chips curry peas it was fantastic loved great portion I cud only managed half well dun staff great 👍 👌 5 🌟

Very expensive for what it is, comparable to London prices in my opinion. Would never spend £7 on chips and especially no here again! Got salt & pepper chips and they were lacking flavour, no actual peppers and not worth their money at all. I’ve tried a few other things but it’s definitely not a place to go as a student. Istanbul grill has way better for much cheaper!

Possibly the worst chippy I've ever had and the prices are ridiculous. Mushrooms and onions in dirty water they call gravy. £7 for chips and gravy as well.
