Reel

Sam and Jo hosted us for our son's baptism celebration — with sixty guests in tow. As it happened, we experienced an unexpectedly and extraordinarily (biblically, if you will) wet weekend — which happened to be the August Bank Holiday weekend. Thus, the Kino was inundated with visitors, seeking its ample space for shelter from the deluge. This is purely to set the stage — and give an indication of the brilliance and ability of them and their team — we experienced a flawless level of care of service, even as our guests spilled into the Kino's general space. For that, we also thank Russell & Olga for their patience and generosity of spirit with us. We love the Kino, it is an institution in St. Leonard's — but Reel's team have added a new dimension for us. Everything about the experience was faultless — from the quality of the food to the warmth and efficiency of the team. We really want to say thank you, very much.

I recently enjoyed a fantastic family lunch at Reel. Sam and his team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was exceptional, fresh, and beautifully presented, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and outstanding hospitality!

Probably the best fry up I've had in several years - and I've had a lot. Particularly good hash browns. Also tip top service and not that expensive. Large portions too

Really nice brunch and it's run by very friendly staff. They managed to find us a table on a busy Sunday and were extra welcoming to our dogs. The food was all good quality and they even kindly added in an extra bubble and squeak to the cooked breakfast for my mum.

Really good meals - fresh and full of flavour. Great atmosphere. Will definitely go again!

Popped in for a cup of tea. My one year old was told children weren’t allowed to walk around. She was silent and making no noise and disturbing nobody. If you don’t want kids that’s fine – but say so at the door. Making well behaved children feel inconvenient is archaic. This wasn’t in a restaurant, its a cafe and event space. Absolutely loved our food and the atmosphere at this place. I had the vegan French toast with fresh blueberries and bananas. It tasted amazing and was also really inexpensive. We left saying we’d found our new favourite brunch spot.
