Staying in the area for the weekend, fancied a nice indian as its one of my favorite foods. Found this place, saw a great looking menu and ordered online for takeaway. Walked in to collect and hit with instant buyers regret. The decor from the walls up had clearly been redone, but the carpet in the reception area was black with dirt and has holes in, and kids were running around. Food was drenched in oil, dishes tasted bland and the naan was burnt. The chicken pakoras were mostly greasy deepfried batter that felt kind of slimy on the inside, the popadoms were stale. The aftertaste of the sauce dishes was bitter and I felt queasy for most of the night after the little i did eat. Only half decent thing was the garlic rice. I was hungry enough to eat some of it anyway, but too tired to bother calling it in or complaining. I just wont go there again. Service was slow, and despite having ordered online and waited the requested 30mins, I still sat waiting for my order for a further 25mins (one of the guys kept having to remind the kitchen for my order). I was only staying 5 min from the place so its not like there was a long time between collecting and eating either.
The food at Zains of Enigma is absolutely delicious and definitely worth the money. Every dish was full of flavor, and the restaurant itself is clean, modern, and has a lovely atmosphere. Great service too. I'd highly recommend giving it a visit if you're looking for quality food in Stourport.
We visited while on a little getaway and we're so glad we found this place. It was lovely to have some proper hearty Bengali food. We ordered a selection of curries and naan, and everything was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and cooked perfectly. You could tell everything was freshly made. The service was excellent from start to finish. All of the staff were so friendly, welcoming, and attentive, regularly checking that everything was okay. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, everywhere was clean, the food arrived quickly, and the portion sizes were generous. It was also fantastic value for money considering the quality of the food and service. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back if we're in the area again. We'd happily recommend it to anyone looking for authentic, delicious Bengali food.
Have been here several times and the food is consistently good. The service is brilliant, the whole team are welcoming and always accommodate our needs. Great place
It's not very often I write a review on the same night but when you have had a great time it's nice to tell people. The folk of Stourport will all know which are their favourite 'Indians' but if like me, you fancy a little ride out and want to try somewhere new then here is a good place to begin. It's been around for 10 years or so and therefore must be doing something right. What was a first for me us is that it is a 3 level restaurant, I don't know of another one. The layout would be ideal for separate parties or groups. The entrance to it from the large rear car park gives no indication of what's inside. For some reason I thought of a night club which gives you a clue as to my age. From start to finish I couldn't find fault with anything. The staff were very pleasant and helpful in assisting the wife who is quite 'specific' in what she wants. I am easily pleased as I have a few dishes that I go for. We started with a vegetable pakora which they split onto two plates for us. It was excellent and obviously freshly prepared which makes a change. Our mains of chicken dupiaza and capsilla were again excellent. Very flavoursome and moist chicken, the wife said it was the best dish she has had in a long time. It was more of a Jalfrezi but without the heat. Both portions were deceptively large and like our starters were very nicely presented. The sides were very good, large portions which we didn't manage to finish. Finally a pistachio matka kulfi, including the free pot that it comes in. The bill overall was pretty reasonable for what we had plus also got a takeaway from the leftovers.
