Ela Turkish Restaurant

Lovely lad serving .amazing owners i had the pleasure of meeting the family . Friendly kind and the service was amazing 👏 the food was full of wonderful flavours. Quality ingredients second to none . I would 100 per cent recommend you visit this wonderful restaurant of amazing quality of food and owners. Well done to all concerned. I came from Wales to visit my daughter and family . And they treated me to dinner. What a wonderful experience. They even sent us home with 3 home made rice pudding for me and my granddaughters. I am still tasting the flavours 3 hours later

Awful service from them. Wait time was supposed to be 35 mins for food delivery. An hour passed and I gave them a call to find out where the order is, I was told that it was going to be at least another 15 mins if not longer. Absolutely ridiculous for a Sunday order, I can only imagine the wait times are even longer on Friday or Saturday. The server who answered the phone was completely arrogant about it and said "if you don’t get your order in the timeframe you call us". No apology for the wait time or lack of communication. Food has always been good here but if I have to wait that long for food I would prefer other options elsewhere as it’s not exactly cheap. Shame but this will be my last order here based on the interaction with the phone handler Updated in response from restaurant: The just eat app said 35 mins. It’s your responsibility to ensure that it’s updated appropriately and expectations are set with the customer. To wait 1 hr 35 mins to get our food in the end is shocking without any communication. I got no apology from the delivery lady and no free salad or desert. This just backs up my point about awful service

Great food and friendly staff The food was fantastic. Full of flavour and nicely presented. I can’t believe the restaurant was quiet for people sitting in. Shame as it really deserves to be better supported. The take away seemed busy. I highly recommend a visit if you’re in a large group too.

Amazing! We ordered mixed mezze to start (pictured) and everything was so fresh and tasted impeccable. And for our mains they just tasted so full of flavour. There was only 1 man there serving and he was lovely and very attentive. We knew it was a great place when the table of (clearly) regulars were raving about how it is so incredible to us. Highly recommend!

This is a first rate Turkish restaurant very near the heart of Stowmarket. Perfect if you’re, say, going to a gig at the John Peel Centre. The kebabs are immaculately barbecued, everything, such as the accompanying sauces, tastes homemade and there’s great attention to detail. Shannon, our waitress, was very welcoming. Have the Turkish coffee just for the presentation!
