Church View Inn

I've been coming to The Church View for many years now, and it's become one of my favourite places to go. From the moment you walk in, you're always made to feel welcome. The staff are friendly, helpful, and always happy to have a chat, which makes such a difference. A big shout-out to Mike, who does a brilliant job running the pub. You can tell he genuinely cares about the customers and the team, and it shows in how well the place is run. Nothing ever seems too much trouble, and there's always a great atmosphere. The food has always been spot on whenever I've visited. It's fresh, tasty, well presented, and great value for money. The service is consistently excellent too, even when the pub is busy. The new 2 pints and 2 meals for just £20 deal was amazing value and gave you even more reason to pop in. It's hard to find quality food and drinks at that price these days. If you're after a proper local with fantastic staff, a great manager, excellent food, and brilliant value, I can't recommend The Church View enough. Keep up the great work—you've definitely got a regular customer in me!

Booked a last minute table at my 7 year old son's request for "the best Sunday roast ever" Was not disappointed. Kids meals very generous and value for money! Adult roasts also very generous. Roasties and Yorkshire pudding always a particular highlight...both piping hot and crispy. Plenty of variations with the veg, all seasoned really well and clearly not all just been boiled (roasted carrots and parsnips yum!!) the beef was great, not too chewy and easy to cut into bite sized pieces for the kids. Some pieces a bit pinker than others (totally normal) so we swapped between us depending on who wanted what. Extra gravy given when requested which is highly addictive btw! Can't wait to go back. The bill at the end food 4 roast dinners , glass red wine, fruit juice and alcohol free Guinness was less than £50. Unreal value. Thanks guys. Oh and the service was fast & welcoming 👍🏼

A well put together Greene King pub which I've not been to in long while but served as a great stop for a family birthday. Plenty of space to park, seating out front and a good amount of seating inside (and most of all very dog friendly too - just be aware not on the upper tier tables where it's carpeted but everywhere else). The food was excellent! A little bit of a wait but was really worth it, and all really affordably priced. So much so I even extended to sharing a pudding and I don't normally do puddings when eating out. Staff were also excellent at promoting offers on drinks at the bar.

Food was overcooked and dry. After a table of 8 waiting for 30 mins, we asked for a sprinkle of choose on our 2 year old’s pasta, but the server come back to tell us we would have to order a side of cheese for 50p. Food and service was terrible. Would not recommend to anyone.

Brilliant pub with friendly staff and good food. Lots going on particularly enjoyed the carol concert back at Christmas. Food is really good at this pub and my personal favourite is the Katsu Curry. The pub has a lovely friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The team are outstanding and can not do enough to help service is always excellent. This pub is definitely one of the best in Widnes and certainly worth a visit !

Nice meal with a lovely cool drink on a sunny day, could have done with more sauce on the chicken but still a nice meal.
