Oh boy! Just got back from only my second visit to Mattia Diner taking my wife for her first time....we both absolutely loved the kitch but also absolutely authentic US decor and atmosphere including the excellent music playing throughout. The breakfast dishes were amazing and were generous portions. Breakfast was rounded off with the legendary American milkshakes. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and a joy to chat to. To cap it all off the menu prices are very realistic and affordable. There is also an exciting looking cocktail bar and a candy store to die for, and not just for the kids ! Most definitely worth coming off the A303 Sparkford junction. We will be back.🇺🇸🇬🇧
DELICIOUS 😋 Clean , friendly staff. Music great. Fantastic memorabilia. We ate the Elvis burger x2 Chilli dog and buffalo wings . Plus drinks. We were full and couldn't manage dessert. Fully recommend you visit. You won't be dissociated. Birthday parties also catered for! 5*
If your thinking of coming here ignore all the bag reviews and come ASAP this place is so cool the atmosphere itself is more then 5* there is so much to look at and so many little details that make this diner so cool. The food was great aswell I had the ribs and my partner had piri piri chicken and both of us loved it but the star of the show was the milkshakes they were amazing!!! The service was great too! Definitely coming back the next opportunity I get. Not sure now anyone could rate this any less then 5*
A quirky old style American themed diner. Food might not be wholly authentic American but it is the UK and not easy to get a ready supply of American ingredients so you have to allow Mattia a little leeway. There were six of us for a late lunch. We didn't book but that recommended to guarantee a seat. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and found it's a table immediately. Good choice of main courses including burgers, ribs, pasta, pizza, fajitas, hot dogs and many other dishes. Took me a while to choose the Mattia special burger which was two patties with bacon, mushrooms, cheese and pulled pork in a standard bun. If the bun hadn't been a bit broken up it would have been perfect with the coleslaw, onion rings and French fries. It was very tasty. Server was quick and efficient taking the drinks order and they arrived quickly. I went for the Pina Colada which was okay, but again not authentic. The server came and took our meal order while we enjoyed our drinks. The wait for the food wasn't too long. It was all presented perfectly and everyone enjoyed what they had. Portion size was good and big enough that no-one wanted dessert. I think it was value for the money. £158.00 for the six main meals and drinks. As always with such places, the question is would I go again... A resounding yes and a well deserved four stars. I suggest you give it a try.
So you're looking for a quirky 1950s themed American restaurant which has every available surface covered in memorabilia from Elvis to Marilyn to Jake and Elwood, serves good food in a decent time, friendly staff, clean loos, family friendly, parties catered for, great classic soundtrack. This is it.
Brilliant place! This was a very random, last second decision to visit. Literally saw the sign and turned. It's VERY American. Honestly, it was great, the interiors is fantastic, very clean and well kept. The service was great, friendly, and the food was delicious Definitely worth a visit!!
Stopped here on the way back down south from Somerset and found it amazing. Staff friendly. However, was nearly short chnaged of my coleslaw! I think it would also be a nice addition for music to be playing outside. Overall, fun place to visit, good food and very reasonsably priced IMO.
