Possibly the best Sunday lunch ever. The quality of the ingredients and side dishes are the best on offer. ( Pork crackling should be offered as an extra. The price for a main meal is just over £20.00 which is fair. The desserts being priced at around £10.00 are overpriced in contrast. Overall a beautiful meal in a lovely location.
Visit this pub regularly as its local, Andy, Lee, Frank and Emily always friendly and welcoming, great food and atmosphere and dog friendly, doggy menu and free treats and blankets, lovely and cosy in the winter with the real fires and rewards/savings to be had via the app (Vintage Inns)
Stopped here for a late lunch with my Mum. Was made to feel welcome from the start and staff were lovely. Ordered a bundle of starters for us to share... way too much as the portion sizes are very generous. Food was presented nicely and all of the dishes were very tasty. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos and my review probably doesn't do them the justice they deserve. I can wholeheartedly recommend and will dine there again.
Cosy an authentic pub experience. Went for the House Burger, which is composed of a large beef patty and streaky bacon, complete with a melted cheddar sauce. Juicy and tasty. The sticky toffee pudding is worth it if you can save some room.
I didn't want to do a review as this place really is a gem that I'd like to keep for myself. The food is spectacular (not an understatement) They say that you eat with your eyes, and with the way my meal was presented, I couldn't wait to get stuck in. The staff are friendly, chatty and the restaurant is well layed out and clean. Tables are nicely spaced out so you have your meal and conversation with your group and not several other tables. The Chef is amazing and his food speaks volumes. Great selection at the bar and to be honest, yes, some things on the menu were a little pricey but having eaten here a few times, the food is worth every penny. They have an extensive menu catering do or all tastes and yes, you can even take your pooch with you, so muddy boots, muddy paws are also welcome. That said, the place was spotless. Do I recommend it, oh yes, and with a loyalty card to take money off my next visit, I'll be back. (Belly Pork is amazing) I've included pics of the snack menu but not the main "all singing and dancing" one.
Probably the best Aioli ever!! The duck a d hoisin pizza was lovely. Service was slow, but the waitress was extremely friendly.
A lovely, welcoming pub full of character with a warm and friendly atmosphere. There's a great selection of drinks and it's always a nice place to relax with friends or family. The only downside is that it's quite pricey, especially the food, which can feel expensive compared to other pubs in the local area. Overall, a great pub if you don't mind paying a little extra for the experience.
